Edvard Grieg Society - Past Concerts

November 6, 2001 8pm Arve Tellefsen Concert Ole Bull and Shostakovich. Joining Mr. Tellefsen will be outstanding American cellist Darret Adkins and pianist Ju-Ying Song.
Saturday, April 21 2001 6 pm A Concert in Hartford A reception, concert and dinner at the residence of Dr. and Mrs. Martin Berman with Drs. Joanna and Bill Gerber as co-hosts. The program featured music by Edvard Grieg, Listz, Halvorsen, Luna and deFalla. Performing artists were: Virginia Herrera, soprano, Ole Bøhn, vioin, and Lloyd Arriola, piano.
Tuesday, May 22 2001 6:30 pm Tenth Anniversary Event The Society celebrates its 10th Anniversary. The evening's presentations include an introduction by professors William Halverson and Finn Benestad on their newly-published book: Edvard Grieg: Diaries, Articles, Speeches. Musical performances will include Edvard Grieg's "Trio" and his "Cello Sonata." The Sonata was played by Darrett Adkins, who also performed the Sonata at the Society's inagural concert at Governor's Island in 1991. Violinist Ole Bøhn made a special appearance.
